Highland Animal Clinic is a well-established, privately owned companion animal practice in South Anchorage, and we’re looking for a compassionate, organized Veterinary Technician to join our collaborative, highly skilled technical team.

Medicine You’ll Practice

  • Advanced nursing care and patient advocacy
  • Anesthesia induction and monitoring
  • Dentistry and dental radiography
  • Surgical assistance
  • Diagnostic imaging (digital radiography)
  • In-house laboratory testing (blood chemistry, urinalysis)

What We’re Looking For

  • Required: Experience as a veterinary technician or technician assistant
  • Preferred: Credentialed veterinary technician
  • Strong foundation in pharmacology, anesthesia, and patient monitoring
  • Excellent technical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Commitment to compassionate, high-quality patient care

Schedule & Work-Life Balance

  • 20–40 hours per week
  • No after-hours or weekend responsibilities
  • Emergency and overnight hospitalization cases referred to local ER clinics
