For your convenience we have commonly needed medications on-site, so you do not have to make another trip to the pharmacy or wait for your prescription to arrive in the mail.  Rather than send your dollars off to a big box company we hope you choose to support our business and shop locally.

If you prefer to have your medication delivered, we are also happy to be able to offer competitive options and prices through our online pharmacy (click here). Clients who still wish to order through online suppliers or local pharmacies will need to pick up a written prescription for those medications to provide to them directly. We are no longer calling or faxing orders to online suppliers and local human pharmacies. For more information on this please check out our FAQs. Our online pharmacy provides a simple solution for ordering guaranteed products for your pet to be quickly delivered to your door from an accredited source, while supporting small businesses.

You have trusted us with the responsibility of your pet’s medical care.  We know their medical history, and our doctors are personally vested in providing the absolute best care to your pet.  Because of the way in which almost all non-accredited online suppliers operate, we cannot guarantee that a big box seller is going to act in the best interest of your pet, our patient, or that a human pharmacist might convert/change our directions from a pet dose to a human dose.  Our Doctors need to know that medications you receive are the exact medication they are prescribing in the proper dosage and that those medications were stored and shipped as mandated by the manufacturer.  We would feel terrible should we have even a passive part in causing harm to your pet, our patient, because a supplier improperly stored or handled a medication, or a counterfeit medication was received when buying from a non-accredited online supplier.

We understand that there are many reasons that our clients may want to purchase medications from outside sources, and we want you to make the most informed decision for your pet. Our online store partner is an accredited and certified pharmacy and has continually held the Veterinary-Verified Internet Pharmacy Practice Sites™ (Vet-VIPPS) seal, administered through the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy® (NABP®). The Vet-Vipps seal ensures you are buying safe medications and medical devices from a licensed, regulated pharmacy in compliance with all applicable state and federal laws as well as national pharmacy standards. Because our online store is part of our clinic infrastructure you will not need a written prescription when you order. However, if you choose to buy medications from somewhere other than a certified veterinary pharmacy, we want to give you that option should you choose to do so.

We understand that cost is a big reason that our clients purchase from non-accredited suppliers.  We do our very best to make our medications and supplements affordable and we routinely compare prices to online providers to make sure that we are competitive. You pay for the product as you go, can choose auto ships for refills, and the entire process is completely controlled by you and only you.  Most importantly, by purchasing from our online store, you are supporting our local business here in Anchorage.

By law we are required to have a valid patient/doctor relationship to write or dispense a prescription. This means your pet will need to have a recent exam by one of our veterinarians to obtain a prescription.
